A few people have asked if I’ve heard any news about Congressman Douglas Carr, whose problem with a certain white powder was revealed by Shotgun Honey exactly two weeks ago. (Be sure to read the entire sordid tale here.) Everything I know, I learned from Twitter…
On Oct. 5, Carr announced that he was entering a treatment facility:
I will be entering an inpatient facility for treatment of my cocaine addiction. Thank you for respecting my family’s privacy at this time.

This afternoon, Carr offered a brief update on his progress:
Thank you to everyone who has asked how my recovery is going. One day at a time.

Meanwhile, his former chief of staff Cooper Walden has not yet found a new job:
If anyone’s looking to hire a former congressional chief of staff, please let me know. Happy to send my resume.

So… still looking for a job… anyone?

And the public relations company that once trumpeted its work for Carr…

… cut its ties to the Congressman soon after the revelations appeared on Shotgun Honey:
XDR Public Relations is no longer working with @congressmancarr. We remain interested in working with YOU.

That’s all I know!
